ALBERT POPOV became the first Bulgarian to participate in the finals of the Alpine Skiing World Cup, achieved two top 10 results in the slaloms this past season and finished 23rd in the world rankings. As one of his greatest successes, Popov defines the start in Levi, the first start of the season, in which he entered the top 30. "From there my season started and I saw that I was good enough to be in the top 30," says the skier. Popov did his first ski competitions when he was only 3-4 years old. Very funny competitions, but the prizes were lollipops and candies, which turns out to be a good incentive for the racer. On the threshold of the new ski season, Popov expects tough competitions, for which he is seriously preparing for. "I hope to really make Bulgaria happy, as I made them happy last year."
